Inline Ball Hockey: Southampton & Warwick Win
The Bermuda Inline Ball Hockey League season resumed following several cancellations due to inclement weather, and a total of 40 goals were scored in a doubleheader at the PCC Hockey Rink.
St Davids Islanders 9 Southampton Sailors 12
The opener was a high scoring affair as the Southampton Sailors defeated the St Davids Islanders 12 – 9.
The Southampton Sailors got 8 goals from Doug Lynch, with Mathieu Desjardins adding two goals, while Brad Koperdraad, and Jack Diduck added a goal each.
The St Davids Islanders got 5 goals from Kris Abramowshi, with Matt MacPhil added two goals, while James Amaral added the other.
Tuckers Town Tropics 9 Warwick Waves 10
In the nightcap the Warwick Waves needed a shootout goal off the stick of Wyatt Woloshyn to defeat the Tuckers Town Tropics 10 – 9.
During regulation time the Warwick Waves got 4 goals from Kris Abramowski, 3 goals from Jeff Ingleman, and single strikes from Marcel Bouwens and Woloshyn, while the Tuckers Town Tropics got 5 goals off the stick of Doug Lynch, 3 goals from Pete Brodsky, and single strikes from Matthew Benson, and Kyan Oakley.
