King’s Birthday Parade Cancelled Today
The King’s Birthday Parade, which was scheduled to take place this morning [June 17], has been cancelled due to the weather.
A Government spokesperson said, “Due to forecast unsettled weather conditions, and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of participants, this morning’s King’s Birthday Parade has been cancelled. The first King’s Birthday Parade was due to take place at 10.30 am along Front Street, Hamilton.”
Today’s BWS forecast states, “An area of unsettled weather is producing clusters of gusty showers and thunderstorms across the area along with patchy rainfall at times. Between these clusters sunny breaks will shine through. Showery weather may persist through the weekend as the region remains rather unstable, although Sunday has the best chance for brighter skies to dominate.”
