June 7, 2023 | 1 Comment

The Ministry of Public Works is “informing the motoring public that Link Bermuda will be performing cable pulling works on Middle Road, Flatts, between Paradise Lane to North Shore Road, and Middle Road intersection in Flatt’s.”

A Government spokesperson said, “This work will require a single lane closure for 2 days. The pull hole excavation will start on Thursday, June 15th, 2023 and be completed by Friday June 16th, 2023. Working hours will be from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, for both days.

“Motorists are advised to use alternative routes to travel east via Jennings Road to North Shore Road or to travel west via North Shore Road to avoid this work on Middle Road.

“Traffic control will be under the direction of Invisible Trenching representatives and will be managed through traffic control signals and directional signs during rush hours.

“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.

“Should there be any questions regarding the Link Bermuda trench works, please contact Kip Froud, Project Manager for Invisible Trench on #334-7159. Any queries on detours, contact Ms. Carolina Orellana, Highways Design Engineer for the Ministry of Public Works on # 501-3031.”

Are you serious so again with the loud noise???? I had to put up with this for over two months going forward earlier this year after working late night sifts in order to survive here when do I get rest? And to start at 7am in a residential area ? I understand 8:30am, but 7am? This is absolutely ridiculous and what is the whole point of this ? Will it reduce my electricity bill? Will it help me to be able to have more water in my tanks ? What is the point of this…. So now for two more days I have to listen to this bs thanks a lot I’m really getting tired of living here as a bermudian.
