Video: U.S. Coast Guard Visits Hamilton
The United States Coast Guard cutter Richard Snyder is visiting Bermuda, mooring along Front Street in Hamilton.
According to one of the U.S. Government websites, “USCG Richard Snyder is homeported in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, and named for Petty Officer 1st Class Richard Snyder, awarded the silver star for gallantry in action, defending troops coming to shore on the Island of Biak at the western edge of Papua New Guinea in World War II. The cutter’s motto is Never Yield.”
The ship was one of the vessels involved in recovering the now infamous Chinese Spy Balloon earlier this year off the coast of South Carolina.
