KMPG To Host K-Nect Student Networking Event
KPMG in Bermuda announced its bi-annual student networking event, K-Nect, aimed at providing middle, senior, and college/university students, the opportunity to build professional relationships and connections to the dynamic world of financial services.
A spokesperson said, “This year’s K-Nect will take place on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, 5:30pm – 7:00pm, at the Bermuda Society of Arts [City Hall].
“The 2023 K-Nect event, ‘Start here. Go anywhere.’ will provide valuable insight on how one can begin their career with KPMG in Bermuda and create a career journey that can lead to roles in other KPMG firms around the world. Students attending the event will be able to network with industry professionals and uncover the diverse range of career paths available at KPMG and subsequent prospects for full-time employment through their Lift Off Program.
“The K-Nect event at first glance:
- Overview of the professional designations the firm supports for Accountants and Actuaries;
- A panel discussion with employees that will delve into the unique array of career options within the financial services sector including locally and overseas opportunities KPMG has available;
- Overview of the firm’s Lift Off Program offerings which include work shadowing, summer internships, co-op placements, scholarships, and FLYERS mentorship and permanent graduate employment;
- Connect with industry professionals at our various booths;
- Free headshots for attendees for the first 30 minutes of the event; and
- Attendees should bring their resume to be reviewed and submit for possible employee opportunities with our Human Resources professionals.
