Ocorian Organizes Beach Clean-Up With KBB
Ocorian held a beach clean-up event in collaboration with Keep Bermuda Beautiful [KBB].
A spokesperson said, “Ocorian, a leading global provider of financial services, once again demonstrated its commitment to environmental stewardship by organizing a successful beach clean-up event in collaboration with the esteemed charity, Keep Bermuda Beautiful [KBB].
“The event saw a dedicated team of 18 Ocorian team members band together to clean Elbow Beach and its surrounding areas, resulting in the collection of over 300 pounds of local litter and ocean debris.
“The initiative, part of Ocorian’s ongoing support for KBB, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining pristine natural spaces and promoting sustainable practices within the local community. This marked the third occasion that Ocorian and KBB have joined forces to preserve the island’s natural beauty, with previous clean-up activities taking place last year.
“Ocorian prides itself on empowering its employees to engage in environmental, social, and governance [ESG] initiatives that resonate with their personal values and create a positive impact locally. The beach clean-up was a testament to Ocorian’s dedication to sustainable practices and its role as a responsible corporate citizen in Bermuda.
“During the two-hour clean-up event, the Ocorian team worked tirelessly, diligently removing local litter, ocean plastics, and other debris from the beach and its surrounding areas. The team’s collective efforts contributed to the removal of more than 300 pounds of waste, making a tangible difference to the preservation of Bermuda’s precious natural resources.”
