Tyler Smith finished 30th in the elite men’s race at the World Triathlon Championship Series Sunderland at the weekend.
The Bermudian completed the sprint-distance race in 55min 44sec, with splits of 8:59, 29:16 and 16:02.
“Really enjoyed being back in the UK this weekend and the chance for a hit out at the highest tier of triathlon racing,” Smith wrote on Instagram.
“A tough course and great crowds filled with lots of old friends made it a great day out.
“30th position, in the end, no crazy breakthroughs but heading in the right direction. I’ll take it. Nice career milestone to crack the prize money for the first time at a World Series.”
