Hawley & Smith To Compete In Mexico

Erica Hawley will look to continue her fine form when she competes in the elite women’s race at the Americas Triathlon Championships Veracruz in Mexico tomorrow [September 2].
Hawley achieved her first podium in a World Triathlon Cup race, finishing third in the elite women’s event at the Yeongdo World Cup in South Korea last month.
In July, she won the elite women’s race at the Americas Triathlon Cup in Montreal, Canada.
Also representing Bermuda in Veracruz will be Tyler Smith, who will compete in the men’s elite event on Sunday.
Both the men’s and women’s races will be Olympic distance [1,500-metre swim, 40-kilometre bike and 10km run].
