Bermuda cyclist Kaden Hopkins continued his impressive displays at the Tour of Guadeloupe after winning his second stage of the annual men’s multiple-stage road race.
Hopkins, who won stage two on Tuesday, claimed victory in the eighth stage from Old Fort to The Wall of Saint Claude today [August 12].
The 23-year-old, who competes for French team Vendee U, completed the 12.5-kilometre time-trial in 26min 58sec.
“It’s been a good day for me,” Hopkins told a press conference.
“The last couple of days I’ve been losing a lot of time in the stages and haven’t had to put in the same amount of energy as the top GC [general classification] guys have.
“Even though it was a big climb at the end, I stuck to my sensations, and it felt good.”
