Partial Road Closure On Berry Hill Road, Paget
The Ministry of Public Works advised of a “partial road closure on Berry Hill Road at the junction with the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital parking lot entrance and exit will take place to allow for the installation of an elevated crosswalk.”
A Government spokesperson said, “The partial road closure will start at the northwesterly hospital parking lot entrance and finish at the northeasterly hospital parking lot exit. The parking stalls along Berry Hill Road’s northern edge will be closed and used for rerouting pedestrians around the construction site.
“Motorists wishing to utilize the northwestern hospital parking lot will only be able to gain access via Berry Hill Road via Point Finger Road. Motorists wishing to enter the southern parking lot near the hospital building can only use Berry Hill Road via Tee Street from the east.
“The partial road closure will not allow for thru traffic at any time and will commence on Thursday, August 24th, 2023, through Friday, September 1st, 2023.
“Motorists are advised to use Point Finger Road, Middle Road, Tee Street and South Road for detour routes.
“The partial road closure will be managed by Ministry of Public Works representatives and blocked off with cones, barricades and signage.
“The Ministry of Public Works encourages the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
“Should there be any questions regarding these works, contact Mrs Tina Beer-Searle, Principal Highways Engineer for the Ministry of Public Works, at #501-3044.”
