The Argus Group announced the appointment of Louis Millar as the new Head of Argus Wealth Management, and added that the promotion is strengthened by the addition of two prominent hires, Wealth Manager, Rickai Binns, and Senior Operations Manager, Julanda Lodge.
A spokesperson said, “The Argus Group is excited to announce the appointment of Louis Millar as the new Head of Argus Wealth Management [AWM], succeeding former Head, Joel Schaefer. Millar joined AWM in 2007 as an Assistant Vice President of Operations and transitioned to the Head of Operations in 2014.
“His journey has been defined by his dedication to holistic financial wellbeing, driven by bespoke investment management, risk mitigation, and retirement preparation. This significant promotion is strengthened by the addition of two prominent hires, Wealth Manager, Rickai Binns, and Senior Operations Manager, Julanda Lodge. The team’s expansion marks a notable milestone in AWM’s journey toward enhancing client relationships and fostering growth.
“Having previously served as an Analyst at Cidel Bank & Trust in Barbados, and with the Central Bank of Barbados in financial surveillance and regulation, Millar’s diverse experiences have cultivated his expertise in investment management and administration, banking, and fund management. A Chartered Financial Analyst [CFA®] charterholder and a registered Chartered Professional Accountant [CPA] in Bermuda and British Columbia, Millar’s leadership underscores the pivotal role that financial stability plays in overall wellbeing.
“Rickai Binns joined AWM in July as the newly appointed Wealth Manager, bringing with him a wealth of financial services experience, encompassing banking, investments, reinsurance, and brokered products. His expertise caters to a diverse clientele, including retail, institutional, high net worth, and private clients. Binns’ affiliations with the Institute of Directors [IOD] Bermuda branch and The Association for Corporate Racial Equity [ACRE] reflect his commitment to both professional excellence and social responsibility.
“Julanda Lodge joined in November 2022 with nearly two decades of experience within the banking industry. Lodge’s expertise spans various leadership roles across operations, retail, wealth, fund administration, and compliance. Her experience covers not only Bermuda but also global exposure in Hong Kong, Malaysia, India, and the US.”
