Celebrating Wellness: Free Family Fun Event
A free event promoting healthy lifestyles will be staged at the Botanical Gardens next Wednesday [September 27].
Celebrating Wellness, which is recognised by the Health Promotion and Wellness Office of the Department of Health, will run from 5 pm to 8 pm and feature information booths, screenings, health food vendors and prizes.
The Department has partnered with Xtreme Sports to organise a friendly physical competition for families.
The games start at 5.30 pm, and teams will compete in a series of stations set up within the show ring, with points awarded to determine the top three winners of the competition, which finishes at 7.30 pm.
Prizes will also be awarded for the best-dressed team and the most creative team name.
Each team must have five family members, with at least two aged between five and 17. Team members can extend to aunts, uncles, cousins and godparents.
The first ten teams to enter the competition will receive a gift.
