Football: Bermuda Defeat St Vincent 4-0

The Bermuda women’s football team secured a 4-0 victory against St Vincent and the Grenadines in the Concacaf W Gold Cup qualifiers today [Sept 26].

The scoring began with Jya Ratteray Smith finding the net in the 14th minute and later repeating her success in the 39th minute to make it 2-0. Team captain Eva Frazzoni added to the tally with a goal in the 78th minute, and Khyla Brangman sealed the victory with a penalty conversion in the 86th minute.

The defense and goalkeeper Za’Khari Turner maintained their impressive record of not conceding a single goal, a pattern they have held for months, having played the entire Island Games and these two Concacaf qualifiers, scoring a total of 21 goals in 7 matches, while not conceding a single goal.

The Bermuda team is now on top of the group.
