Shaqcoy Fox Earns BHA Hassell Scholarship
The Bermuda Hotel Association Adrian Hassell Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to Mr. Shaqcoy Fox.
A spokesperson said, “The presentation which took place on Thursday, 24th August at the Rosedon Hotel was attended by the parents and grandparents of Mr. Fox, mother of Mr. Hassell, Ms. Joanna Hassell as well as members of the BHA Board of Directors.
“In his welcoming remarks the BHA President, Clarence Hofheins in announcing the scholarship awardee, wished Mr. Fox much continued success in his studies in the hospitality / hotel industry, as we looked forward to having him join the industry at the conclusion of his international studies.

“Ms. Hassell extended on behalf of the Hassell family, best wishes to Mr. Fox to continue to pursue his personal and professional goals and objectives in the industry which Adrian loved.
“The scholarship award in the amount of $15,000.00 was presented to Mr. Fox by the BHA President, Clarence Hofheins and the BHA Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Todd.
“On accepting the award Mr. Fox thanked the Bermuda Hotel Association, the members of the awards committee for the scholarship, his mother and his grandparents along with the family of Mr. Hassell.
“Mr. Fox left the island on Friday, 25th August to continue his studies at the Humber College in Ontario, Canada.”
