Ministers & Air Service Development Team Meet
Last week, Minister of Transport Wayne Furbert and Minister of Tourism Vance Campbell hosted a meeting with the Air Service Development Team.
A Government spokesperson said, “The discussions centred around key topics such as enhancing air service operations during the shoulder months of November to March, marketing plans, capacity projections, fostering relationships with potential air service providers and assessing hotel occupancy during winter.”
Minister Furbert emphasised the importance of ongoing collaboration: “We remain committed to holding quarterly meetings with the Team. We must have all stakeholders actively engaged in these discussions, sharing constructive ideas and jointly reviewing strategies for advancing air service development. We were particularly delighted to welcome representatives from BermudAir to the table. They provided an overview of their operational framework, business model, and future expansion plans.”
The spokesperson said, “Air Service Development Team members include Bermuda Airport Authority, Skyport, Bermuda Tourism Authority, and the Bermuda Hotel Association.”
What next Flip Flop.
Free food and drinks. No wonder my good friend Wayne showed up. To my surprise, the meeting was not held in NYC or Washington, DC. Wayne needs more frequent flyer miles and hotel points.
