Berkeley Says ‘Thanks’ After Anniversary Events
The Berkeley Educational Society and the Berkeley Institute has extended their thanks following a successful series of events commemorating Berkeley’s 125th Anniversary.
A spokesperson said, “The Berkeley Educational Society in conjunction with The Berkeley Institute, its parent body wishes to thank you, the general public, the faculty and staff, the alumni, friends and sponsors and all who helped in any way to make the following events successful:
- Tuesday 6th September 2022 – The Alumni & Friends’ Reception, celebrating Berkeley’s 125th Anniversary from the opening of the school on that day in 1897
- Sunday 16th October 2022 – The Praise and Thanksgiving Service at St. Paul A.M.E Church
- Saturday 18th March 2023 – The 125th Fun Run Walk and Ride beginning at “Wantley” on Princess Street, Hamilton.
- Saturday 25th March 2023 – The 125th Anniversary Golf Tournament at Belmont Hills
- Friday 21st April to Saturday 29th April 2023 – The 125th Anniversary Alumni & Current Students’ Art Exhibition in The Berkeley History Room
- Friday 19th May 2023 -The Opening of the History & Legacy Exhibition in The Berkeley History Room
- Friday 26th May 2023 – The Bermuda Day Parade Entries – The Berkeley 125th Anniversary Float, The Berkeley Steel Pan Band and The Berkeley Dancers
- Sunday 11th June 2023 – Dress Code: The 125th Anniversary Hat, Tea and Fashion Show
- Saturday 12th August 2023 – The 125th Berkeley Family and Friends’ Picnic aka Beach Bash
“Please note that the 125th Anniversary Summer Jazz Jam scheduled for Saturday 8th July has been postponed to Summer 2024.”
