Field Of Learning Gardening Club For Students

The Mirrors Programme announced the return of the Field of Learning Gardening Club, a five-week initiative that will begin on November 7th, and is available for students ages 13-18.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Mirrors Programme is thrilled to announce that the Field of Learning Gardening Club is back! A five-week initiative commencing on November 7th, 2023. The program will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, finishing on December 7th, 2023.

“The Field of Learning Gardening Club for students ages 13-18 is designed to foster a sense of community, growth, and education, and will offer participants a hands-on experience in gardening while promoting personal development, social engagement and the enhancement of horticultural skills.”

The Minister of Social Development and Seniors Tinee Furbert shared, “The Mirrors Programme’s Field of Learning Gardening Club not only enriches the lives of our students through education and skill building but also encourages a strong sense of connection to our community.”

The Mirrors Programme’s Senior Programme Manager, Kimberley Jackson, shared, “We are excited to reintroduce the Field of Learning Gardening Club, which has proven to be an enriching experience for our students. This programme offers a unique opportunity for individuals to learn, engage and contribute to a meaningful cause. We’re dedicated to providing a supportive and educational environment for all participants, where they can nurture both plants and personal development.”

The Government spokesperson said, “The Mirrors Programme will provide all necessary supplies. Additionally, those involved will have the opportunity to earn co-curricular and community service hours where applicable.
