Hawley & Smith Compete In Brasilia Triathlon
Bermuda’s Erica Hawley and Tyler Smith participated in the 2023 World Triathlon Cup Brasilia. In the women’s elite field, Hawley finished 16th with a time of 2:03:09. Out of 36 female participants, only 25 completed the race. Hawley’s performance included a swim time of 19:42, a bike time of 1:02:54, and a run time of 40:06.
Smith also secured a 16th-place finish in the men’s elite field, posting a time of 1:51:11. Despite 47 male participants initially, only 38 reached the finish line. Smith’s race consisted of an 18:18 swim, a 56:49 bike, and a 34:39 run.
