The Ministry of Public Works advised the “motoring public that wall repairs work will take place on Harbour Road near the Lower Ferry stop and will require a one lane closure in the eastbound lane.”

A Government spokesperson said, “This wall repair work will commence Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 and will be ongoing through Tuesday, October 31st, 2023. Working hours will be from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

“The public is advised to use alternative routes via Chapel Road to Middle Road to avoid this area when heading into Hamilton.

“Traffic controls will be under direction of Ministry of Public Works and will be managed through traffic control temporary signals & signage.

“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.

“Should there be any questions regarding this lane closure, please direct queries to the attention of Curtis J Charles PE, Construction, and maintenance Engineer for the Ministry of Public Works on #501- 3036.”

  1. Some beach says:

So…which direction is it going ?

    • Joe Bloggs says:

Well, given the “lane closure in the eastbound lane” my guess is that that section of Harbour Road is only going “up de country” for a while.

They will have traffic lights so up or down the country will both have mayor hangups and then of course it will take 3 times longer than the estimated date provided they don’t encroach on any ones property .
