Adrian Roach claimed his 23rd amateur boxing victory after a busy weekend of action for the Crandall Chargers.
Roach, who attends Crandall University in Moncton, New Brunswick, claimed a unanimous points victory over local fighter Itoro Akpoudo in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, November 11.
The previous night, welterweight Roach lost to Ryan Chi, a two-times National Collegiate Boxing Association champion, of the United States Military Academy West Point, via split decision in New York.
Roach, who withdrew from a fight scheduled for Sunday because of an ankle injury, defeated Chi via split decision in New York in October last year.
The 21-year-old returned home last month to compete on the amateur undercard of Fight Night Champion, defeating American Luis Portillo by a unanimous decision at The Shed in Dockyard.
Roach has won 23 of his 30 amateur contests.
