The Bermuda Philharmonic Orchestra is getting set to hold a two-night show at St. John’s Church on November 18 and November 19.

A spokesperson said, “Join us on Saturday, November 18th at 7:30pm or Sunday, November 19th at 4.00pm at St. John’s Church for two hours of glorious live music. Featuring music that celebrates what it means to be a hero, and the many forms that can take.

“We’ll open with Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man. A glorious proclamation featuring our Brass and Percussion players. Soloist Kent Hayward will join us for Mozart’s majestic Horn Concerto no. 3, followed by violinist Alison Black being featured as soloist for Vaughn-Williams’s The Lark Ascending– a piece about the heroic search for peace on earth.

“We’ll end with the final movement of Beethoven’s great Symphony no. 3 Eroica, originally dedicated to his own hero, then scratched out, and rededicated to all of humanity.

“Tickets are $65 for adults and $35 for seniors [65+] and students and can be purchased directly on our website.
