Elijah Daley Wins Medals & Breaks Record
Elijah Daley competed in the Age Group International Short Course Canadian Championships, hosted by the Etobicoke Swim Club.
On the first day of action, Daley set three personal best times, won three medals, and also broke one Bermuda record.
Daley clocked a personal best time of 1:52.46 during the 200m freestyle preliminaries finishing 6th, in the 200m freestyle final, Daley picked up the bronze medal touching the wall in a time of 1:54.92.
During the 200m butterfly preliminaries Daley clocked a time of 2:06.07 finishing 4th, in the 200m butterfly final, Daley clocked a personal best time of 2:01.19, which also broke Jesse Washington’s male 17-18 record time of 2:09.26 set back on November 5th 2021 during the South West Short Course Winter Championships.
Daley would advance to his third A final after finishing 1st in the 200m individual medley preliminaries clocking a time of 2:06.95, Daley won the gold medal in the 200m individual medley final clocking a personal best time of 2:04.10.
