Chamber Hosts Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast
On this International Volunteer Day, December 5 the Non-Profit Division of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast.
A spokesperson said, “This event was a tribute to the tireless efforts and selfless contributions of volunteers who have significantly impacted our community through their dedication and service.
“The breakfast, held at Ignite, was attended by representatives from various non-profit organizations and key community leaders. It was an opportunity not only to acknowledge the hard work of all volunteers but also to specially recognize a few individuals for their exceptional service:
- Milvin DeRosa, for his outstanding volunteer leadership with Raleigh Bermuda.
- Shela Grant, for her vital role in the Award staff team at The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.
- Richard Campbell, for his significant contributions to EAP Bermuda.
- Roberta Wolffe, for continuing her volunteer service at the Family Centre post-retirement.
- Charles Parson and Chad Grant, for their unwavering dedication to WindReach over the years.
- The Bowen Family, for their unique commitment as a unit, volunteering and training at the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.
- Sivaja Perinchief, for his involvement with Endeavour since becoming an Assistant Instructor.
“The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce’s Non-Profit Division believes in the power of volunteerism and its ability to bring about positive change in our community. Today’s event was not just a celebration but also a testament to the spirit of giving that thrives in Bermuda. We are thankful to each volunteer who has contributed their time and effort to make our community a better place.
“The Chamber aims to grow this event in the coming years, hoping to continue recognizing and appreciating the extraordinary contributions of our volunteers.
