BEDC To Host Small Business Expo On Feb 3
The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation [BEDC] will be hosting the 2nd Annual Small Business Expo on Saturday, February 3rd, at the Willowbank Resort.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation [BEDC] welcomes the New Year with an opportunity to help existing and new entrepreneurs calibrate and prepare for 2024. The 2nd Annual Small Business Expo will be held at the Willowbank Resort on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024, from 11am to 4pm, and will host over twenty businesses and organisations that provide support services to small businesses.
“The expo will feature panel discussions throughout the day focusing on four key topics for small businesses: Global Gateways focuses on mastering shipping and logistics; Culinary Commerce focuses on the business of food from commercial kitchens to health requirements; Financial Frontiers focuses on modern payment solutions and financial technology to help small businesses, and Digital Dialogues focuses on how telecommunications can impact business growth and customer engagement. These discussions will give attendees valuable insights and practical tips from seasoned business owners, experts, and industry leaders.”
“We are delighted to announce the return of our Small Business Expo for its second year,” stated Ondreyah Rochester, MSME Officer and the Officer responsible for the Somerset EEZ.
She continued, “Following the success and the connections forged at last year’s event, we’re excited to host this gathering again. Our goal is to help small business owners navigate the complex landscape of running a business with over twenty vendors and our panel discussions, which will be a valuable resource for anyone looking to grow their business.”
The spokesperson said, “Attendees will have the opportunity to network with other business owners and industry experts, exchange ideas, and build valuable relationships.
“A professional photographer and makeup artist will be available on-site to give entrepreneurs a fresh face for 2024. Make-up will be provided by Slayed by Cin and TS Beautique [eyebrows, concealer, lashes, powder, & lip color of choice if needed]. Makeup and a headshot cost $120, and a headshot only costs $60. Photos will be taken, edited, and emailed after the event. Attendees must book a 30-minute time slot prior to the start of the event.”
