BermudAir Launches New Cargo Service
BermudAir announced that it now offers cargo services to and from the island.
A spokesperson said, “With immediate effect, cargo service is available for shipments between Boston and Bermuda. Service to and from the airline’s other routes – Fort Lauderdale and Westchester, New York – will follow.”
“We’re delighted to add cargo services to support the local business community and their overseas suppliers,” said Adam Scott, Founder and CEO of BermudAir. “Being able to offer another supply chain option for Bermuda’s wholesale and retail companies for cost-effective, safe, frequent transportation of goods to and from the island is the latest step in our evolution. We’re proud to mark this important milestone while supporting the local economy.”
The spokesperson said, “The first cargo shipment from Boston arrived earlier today for local client Dunkley’s Bermuda. Cargo service to and from Boston is available on flights every day except Tuesdays. The airline can accommodate cargo of a maximum weight per piece of 45kg, and a maximum shipment weight of 1,000kg with dimensions of up to 60 x 60 x 60 cm. Hazardous shipments cannot be accepted.
“BermudAir’s cargo service complies with all relevant local and international regulations, including the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority, IATA, TSA and ASSI, for fast‚ convenient and efficient carriage of cargo by air.
