Minister Condemns Violence Outside Courts
Minister of National Security Michael Weeks has ”condemned the acts of violence which took place outside of the Supreme Court recently.”
Minister Weeks said, “Several incidences of anti-social behaviour occurred last week outside of our court buildings. These acts of violence involved assaulting and harassing court officers who were carrying out their duties.
“To be clear, I strongly condemn any attack on Bermuda’s lawyers and court officers. These professionals play a vital role in upholding the rule of law and ensuring that justice is served. Such attacks jeopardize the safety and well-being of these individuals and others, and any act of volence undermines the foundations of a fair and just legal system.”

That seems a bit rich coming from the party that forced the House of Assembly to close by use of a mob in order to prevent debate of immigration reform.
Bloggs; you get what you vote for.
How come Pettingle condemned social media posts about this trial but not the KC having an article in the news prior to the aquital discussing how pathetic the investigation was?
Are you sure the article was published before acquittal?
The one I saw in the other source was only published yesterday.
Please , it’s ‘Pettingill’ .
(Things people ought to know by now)
I know.
How embarrassing for the ‘Powers that Be’ to find a bladed knife in the Courts. Staff needs MORE TRAINING or is this a case of just BEING NONCHALANT. Hmmmmmm
What a joke.. You get what you vote for????????????????. I nearly died laughing..HOWEVER “Upholding the law” is the real joke in that article.. The fact is, THERE IS NO LAW IN BERMUDA TO UPHOLD because the people who are commissioned to uphold it, are the ones manipulating and breaking it!! The youth in Bermuda know this which is why people are starting to take matters into their own hands..Bermuda reaping what is has sown I’m afraid.. And it won’t get any better because the corruption in Bermuda’s judiciary is grossly apparent to ALL!!!
