Police Seize 138 Cannabis Plants In St George’s

The Bermuda Police Service has “commenced an investigation into the discovery of multiple cannabis cultivation plots in the eastern end of the island.”

A police spokesperson said, “Police were alerted to the location of a ‘grow site’ in the St. Georges area on Friday, January 12th, 2024. Officers attended the location and further inquiries led to the discovery of additional sites.

“One hundred and thirty-eight mature plants have been seized so far, and the investigation into this matter remains ongoing.

“We urge anyone with information about cannabis cultivation or drug supply in their community to call the main police number, 295-0011. You may also share the information with a police officer you know or, via the Community Reporting Portal at, https://portal.police.bm.”

    I feel so much safer knowing these harmless plants are off the streets. Let me go by some alcohol or cigarettes instead, because after all, we know they are so much safer. When nature becomes the enemy, we are doomed.
