Premier Burt Meets With Jonathan Knight
While in the United Arab Emirates, the Premier met with the UK’s Acting Ambassador to the UAE and Deputy Head of Mission Jonathan Knight.
Premier David Burt posted the images below on Instagram and said, “While in the UAE, I met with the UK’s Acting Ambassador to the UAE and Deputy Head of Mission Jonathan Knight. As Bermuda increases its efforts to attract investment to the island from Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the support of the UK, alongside our Middle East representative, Ms Alexia Hefti, is vital to advance this strategic objective.
“Unfortunately, this meeting was unable to be accommodated in December as the UK mission was occupied with COP, but Sunday’s meeting was very positive, and it was important to officially introduce our representative in the GCC to the UK mission, who have pledged their support. I am grateful for the commitments given by the UK’s embassy in the UAE as we look to enhance Bermuda’s relationship in this vital region of the world.”
