Prospect Primary Marks Black History Month
Prospect Primary celebrated Black History Month with a ‘Living History Museum,’ with visitors learning of a number of notable figures.
Government House posted the images below and said, “Prospect Primary celebrated Black History Month with their first Living History Museum since Covid. Students and staff highlighted the impactful journeys of individuals who have shaped and contributed to Bermuda’s fabric throughout the years.
“Visitors learned of trailblazers like the late Dame Lois Brown-Evans, Ottiwell Simmons, Dr. Earle Edward Seaton, and Ida James – while also celebrating living history makers like Clyde Best, Florenz Webb Maxwell, Dr Carika Weldon and Troy Darrell.
“The creativity, passion and hard work shined as they brought history to life. A special thanks to students and staff for recognizing Her Excellency the Governor as part of this year’s Prospect Primary Living History Museum.”
