Five Bermuda Athletes Compete In Indoor Meets
Bermudian track and field athletes Nirobi Smith-Mills, Madisyn Bobb, Arima Turner, Zenji Washington, and Ellise Dickinson recently competed in indoor meets.
Nirobi Smith-Mills
Nirobi Smith-Mills competed at the BMC ELITE Indoor Track Meet at Lee Valley Indoor Facility.
Smith Mills competed in the BMC Men’s 800m B Race, finishing third by clocking a personal best time of 1:53.50.
Madisyn Bobb
Madisyn Bobb represented Harford Tech at the MPSSAA 1A Central Region Championships.
Bobb finished the Girls 55 Meter Hurdles 1A – Preliminaries with the fifth fastest time of 8.82 to qualify for the final. She also qualified for the Girls 55 Meter 1A – Final after clocking the second fastest time in the preliminaries at 7.31.
She also notched a personal best time of 40.42 during the Girls 300 Meter 1A Dash, finishing second, and then finished seventh in the Girls 55 Meter Hurdles 1A – Final with a time of 8.93.
During the Girls 55 Meter 1A – Finals, Bobb finished fourth with another personal best time of 7.34.
Arima Turner, Zenji Washington & Ellise Dickinson
Arima Turner and Ellise Dickinson represented Montverde, while Zenji Washington represented IMG Elite Florida Indoor HS/MS Championships at the Alachua County Events Center at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, Florida.
Turner finished third in the Girls 60m Dash High School Preliminaries with a time of 7.84 to advance to the finals, while Washington finished in 10th with a time of 8.05. Turner then finished fourth in the final with a time of 7.83.
Dickinson finished third in the Girls 200m Dash High School event, clocking a time of 24.86. Turner finished in seventh with a time of 25.62, while Washington was 11th with a time of 26.25.
In the Girls 400m Dash High School race, Dickinson clocked a winning time of 56.44.
