Somersfield To Host Educator’s Evening
Somersfield Academy is inviting educators across the island to an Educator’s Evening celebrating Montessori Education Week tomorrow [Feb 28].
A spokesperson said, “Somersfield Academy invites educators island-wide to join us for an Educator’s Evening celebrating Montessori Education Week. This event will take place on Wednesday, February 28, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Somersfield Academy.
“Montessori Education Week, celebrated annually during the last week of February, honours the innovative educational approach developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. This year, we are excited to host an evening dedicated to exploring the principles of Montessori philosophy and debunking common myths.
“The event will feature engaging sessions designed to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of Montessori education. Highlights include:
- Montessori 101: The Basics
- Exploring what sets Montessori apart from traditional education
- Dispelling Montessori myths and presenting factual information
- Guided tour of our Montessori classrooms, offering a firsthand look at the environment where children thrive and learn
- Attendees will have the opportunity to earn Professional Development hours by participating in this enriching event.
