Ball Hockey League: CG & BDA Spirits Win
Another 15 goals were scored at the PCC Hockey Rink as the Bermuda ball hockey winter league season continued.
Hamilton Princess 2 – CG 3
In the opener, CG edged Hamilton Princess 3 – 2, thanks to two third period goals.
Hamilton Princess took a 1 – 0 lead in the first period when Christopher Merritt scored, Andrew Leavy equalized for CG with the only goal in the second period.
Jeremy Esty and Leavy would score a goal each in the third period to give CG a 3 – 1 lead, Merritt pulled a goal back, but time ran out on them trying to find the equalizer.
BDA Spirits 7 – Spine and Sport 3
In the nightcap, BDA Spirits defeated Spine and Sport 7 – 3.
Robbie Bailey would lead BDA Spirits to victory with a hat-trick, Jeff Morash added 2 goals, while Adam Mattatall, and JM Tremblay added a goal each.
Sam Viera scored twice for Spine and Sport, while Mathieu Lorrain added the other.
