BermudAir has launched its new service to Orlando, Florida, with flights to be available three times per week.

A spokesperson said, “BermudAir, the island’s only locally based airline, has started its new service to Orlando. The inaugural flight to Orlando International Airport [MCO] kicking off service for this latest route on BermudAir’s network took place on Tuesday 26th March.”

Adam Scott, BermudAir’s Founder and CEO, said, “Flying to Orlando means that we now offer five routes between Bermuda and the US, extending the island’s year-round air service and capacity overall for residents and companies here.

“Our team is excited to add this new service, which complements our Fort Lauderdale route. It expands access for leisure and business travel to South Florida with more direct flights and connectivity. The level of enquiries we’ve had about this route, particularly regarding family travel outbound, indicates lots of interest which is very encouraging. On behalf of our entire team, I’d like to thank our colleagues here in Orlando for their extensive support and cooperation, and for the very warm welcome they’ve extended to us.”

The spokesperson said, “The BermudAir team celebrated the inaugural flight with passengers on board, handing out fun gifts that included mouse ears, a nod to Disneyworld in Orlando as one of the locations now made more accessible from Bermuda with this new service. The aircraft was met at MCO with the traditional water cannon salute on arrival. Officials from MCO, led by CEO Kevin Thibault and Vicki Jaramillo, MCO’s Chief Development Officer, were also on hand in the terminal to greet the BermudAir flight and passengers.”

Mr. Thibault said, “Events like this help us all to see the fruits of our labour. Our goal is always to expand travel options to Central Florida, and BermudAir is helping us make that a reality today. This inaugural flight is good news for Bermuda and Central Florida.

“I’d like to personally thank BermudAir’s Founder and CEO Adam Scott for his vision and his team’s ability to make sure that Orlando and Central Florida have a great connection. We look for quality air service and with BermudAir we have an ideal way to exchange visitors and do business with one of the most beautiful islands in the world.”

The spokesperson said, “Travellers were treated with a gate event, tasty treats, and an inaugural flight pin to celebrate the occasion, in addition to the traditional water cannon salute. BermudAir’s pilots and cabin crew from the inaugural flight participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Adam Scott and Kevin Thibault, and speeches also formed part of the celebration.

“BermudAir will fly to Orlando three times a week: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Access to more information and making bookings is available via the BermudAir app or their website.”

Lovely. Seems like is going out of MCO from terminal B (gates 70-99) Delta terminal, Air Canada, West Jet and a lot of International flights out of that Arside. If you want to connect through one of those airlines do not need to go back through TSA. Flying soon with BermudaAir. 3 hours flights to go between my two homes. Thanks BermudaAir.
