David Gibbons Recognized By Captive Review
David Gibbons, PwC Bermuda’s Captive Insurance Leader, has been named to Captive Review’s list of the most influential global captive figures since 1999.
With the help of thousands of responses to this year’s annual Power 50 poll, Captive Review compiled a long list of potential entries. The publication said the task of whittling down the list to 25 was then done on advisement from several of the industry’s most experienced heads to arrive at the 25 most influential figures of the last 25 years.
David Gibbons, PwC Bermuda, Captive Insurance Leader, said, “It’s an honour to be included in Captive Review’s recognition of those who have most shaped the global captive insurance industry. I congratulate all the remarkable industry leaders on this list, who have contributed to the collective success of the captive industry – and the growth of Bermuda into the world’s largest captive domicile. Naturally I share this award with the many PwC professionals who work tirelessly to help our clients create sustainable solutions to their important issues.”
A spokesperson said, “Gibbons and the PwC Bermuda captive team work with some of the largest captive accounts in the world, delivering captive insurance solutions throughout the captive lifecycle.”
Captive Review said, “A consistent feature in the Captive Review Power 50, David Gibbons has been one of the most visible faces of the Bermuda captive industry throughout the history of Captive Review. Over the years he has been one of the biggest international proponents of Bermuda as a captive domicile, developing PwC Bermuda’s annual captive update seminars, and frequently serving as a speaker, panellist and attendee at international industry conferences.”
