Video: Jacob Madeiros Scores For May River
Bermudian footballer Jacob Madeiros struck a free kick for the May River Varsity team in their recent match against the Lucy Beckham High School.
Despite his heroics, Madeiros, who captains May River in Bluffton, South Carolina, could not prevent his side losing 5-4 on penalties after the game ended 2-2 in regulation time.
Madeiros, an attacking midfielder, was part of the Bermuda Under-20 squad at the Concacaf Under-20 Championship qualifiers in St Kitts and Nevis in February and March.
He was named MVP and bestowed with All-State and All-Region honours last season.
