LeiLanni Nesbeth Makes Debut For Chicago
LeiLanni Nesbeth made her Chicago Red Stars debut in a 2-1 win at home to Seattle Reign in the National Women’s Soccer League [NWSL] yesterday [March 23].
The Bermuda midfielder came on as a substitute for Julia Bianchi, who scored the opening goal for Chicago in the 42nd minute. Seattle levelled through Ji So Yun in the 63rd minute before Maxi Rall restored Chicago’s advantage in the 67th minute.
Chicago, who beat Utah Royals 2-0 last weekend, have taken maximum points from their opening two games. Nesbeth, 22, signed a three-year contract with Chicago after being selected in the NWSL Draft in January. Chicago are away to Orlando Pride next Friday [March 29].
