Narrow Defeat For David Bascome’s Blast
David Bascome’s Baltimore Blast suffered a narrow defeat in the Major Arena Soccer League after losing 5-4 in overtime away to Monterrey Flash yesterday [March 10].
With the score 2-2 after regulation time, the match went into overtime, with Jhon Ponce scoring a penalty to win the game for the Flash.
The Blast remain in fifth place in the Eastern Division with eight wins from 19 matches.
Bascome, a former North Village and Bermuda national team winger, was appointed as the Blast head coach in 2020, having previously served as the team’s assistant coach.
The Blast are at home to Harrisburg Heat next Saturday [March 16].
