BSOA To Host Art Demo By Melanio Guzman
On Thursday, April 18th, the Bermuda Society of Arts will be hosting an art demonstration by Dominican artist Melanio Guzman from 5:30pm to 7:30pm in the gallery.
A spokesperson said, ”This demonstration will include an introduction to natural portraits, figuring out how to select the model’s pose, and considering light, shadow, and materials to achieve your best results. Entry for the event is $10 for members and $20 for non-members. Attendees are encouraged to pay upon arrival to the event.
“Melanio Antonio Guzmán Batista [Melanio], was born in the city of Moca, Dominican Republic, in 1978. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Technological University of Santiago [UTESA] and is essentially a self-taught artist exploring multiple techniques that he has developed and perfected over time. He has achieved national and international relevance, managing to produce more than two thousand works of art in his artistic career. He has had countless individual and group exhibitions, as well as obtained multiple artistic awards and other recognitions.
