Ministry Issues Traffic Notice For Exhibition

The Ministry of Public Works issued a road traffic notice outlining past traffic arrangements and parking restrictions around the Botanical Gardens during the 83rd Annual Agricultural Exhibition.

A Government spokesperson said, “For the convenience of persons attending the 83rd Annual Agriculture Exhibition, hosted by the Department of Parks, the following traffic arrangements will be effective between the hours of 8:00 am and 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 18th, 2024 through to Saturday, April 20th, 2024.”

Entrance and Exits

  • West Gate on Point Finger Road – Pedestrians only
  • South West Gate on South Road – Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Parks Vehicles and Administrative Staff Vehicles
  • South Gate on South Road – Entrance and Exit for Pedestrians; Entrance for Vehicles
  • South East Gate on South Road – Exit only for Vehicles
  • North Gate on Berry Hill Road – Entrance and Exit for Pedestrians; Entrance for vehicles
  • North West Show Ring Gate on Berry Hill Road – Entrance for Physically Challenged Persons
  • Old Garage Service Entrance on South Road – Department of Environmental and Natural Resources, Department of Parks Vehicles, Equestrian Vehicles and Trailers

Parking Restrictions

  • South Road – No parking between Point Finger Road and Tee Street
  • Tee Street – No parking between Middle Road and South Road
  • Point Finger Road – No parking between South Road to Berry Hill Road
  • Berry Hill Road – Parking for the vehicles assigned to the physically challenged is designated on the South side of Berry Hill Road, West of the North gate of Botanical Gardens. Vehicles must display Parking Badge.

Traffic Flow Restrictions

Berry Hill Road

  • Traffic flow will be in easterly direction between the junction of Camden North and Tee Street.
  • Traffic is not permitted to turn onto Berry Hill Road from Tee Street, to head in a westerly direction.
  • Exceptions to Berry Hill Road access, are Emergency Vehicles, Doctors vehicles with authorized license plates; travelling to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
  • Signs will be erected where neighbourhood roads meet Berry Hill Road instructing vehicles to head in an easterly direction.
  • Westerly flow of traffic will be permitted from the entrance at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital
  • towards the intersection of Point Finger Road.

Traffic Flow Unrestricted

  • South Road – Two-way traffic at all times
  • Point Finger Road – Two-way traffic at all times
  • Berry Hill Road – Point Finger Road to Crow Lane will have two-way traffic at all times
