Mosaic Named Title Sponsor Of You Go Girl Relay
Mosaic Insurance will be the title sponsor of Bermuda’s annual You Go Girl Relay, with registration now open for the event to be held on June 2, featuring a Swift-themed “Eras” theme.
A spokesperson said, “Mosaic Insurance has given its name as new title sponsor to Bermuda’s You Go Girl Relay, the popular annual charity event that has raised more than $120,000 over the past dozen years for the Women’s Resource Centre.
“The Bermuda-headquartered global insurer joins supporting sponsors U by Kotex, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, and Butterfield & Vallis to present the Mosaic You Go Girl Relay Sunday, June 2, on Front Street, Hamilton. Registration is now open for the event, which is organized by Mid-Atlantic Athletic Club [MAAC].”
“We’re delighted to be part of this wonderful event and help it continue to thrive and grow,” said Mosaic Chief of Staff Lisa Fontanetta. “Mosaic supports communities around the world where we live and work, particularly projects where we can have a direct, positive impact. This relay not only raises critical funds, but also creates fantastic community spirit, reflecting Mosaic’s corporate values—be bold, work together, and have fun!”
The spokesperson said, “Now in its 13th year, the women’s relay, known for participants’ costumed turnout, will pay homage to pop superstar Taylor Swift and her “eras” theme and lucky number. Runners are invited to show off their “You Go Girl Era” in their best “Swiftie” style.”
“We’re privileged to welcome Mosaic aboard the You Go Girl Relay and we look forward to a wonderful partnership,” said Christine De Silva, of MAAC’s race organizing committee. “It’s lucky 13 for us in 2024, and this beloved event promises to be bigger and better than ever with the support of participants and spectators.”
The spokesperson said, “The Mosaic You Go Girl Relay invites teams of three women or girls to participate in its 2K-4K-6K three-lap structure, with prize categories including open, family, corporate, masters, junior, walking, and non-competitive teams. All three team members can also choose to run 6K together. New this year are younger girls’ races, for ages four to five and six to seven-year-olds.
“Since its launch in 2011, the relay has raised more than $120,000 for its chosen charity, the Women’s Resource Centre.”
“We are so grateful to be the beneficiary of the Mosaic You Go Girl Relay once again,” said Juanae Crockwell, Executive Director of the Women’s Resource Centre [WRC]. “The funds raised from this event will help to keep our doors open, so women in Bermuda will continue to find a safe place at WRC for counselling, support groups, therapeutic programs and community education.
“The race is an annual fixture on our calendar, and we are looking forward to the camaraderie and sense of community it will bring. We encourage women to sign up for this fun and fabulous event, which supports the essential work we do in our community.”
