Somersfield To Host Golf Fundraiser On April 26
Somersfield Academy will hold a golf fundraiser on April 26.
A spokesperson said, “Somersfield Academy is thrilled to announce its first Golf Fundraiser since the onset of covid-19 pandemic. The tournament is scheduled to take place on April 26, 2024. The event will kick off with registration at 12:00pm, followed by a shotgun start at 1:00pm. Golf enthusiasts and supporters of equitable education are invited to join us for a day of fun on the green while supporting diversity.”
Michael Branco, event organizer and Somersfield parent, said, “I am very happy to see the enthusiasm and support from corporates, which enhances the success of our golf fundraiser.
“Through sportsmanship, golf has always been a great way to get our corporates involved in contributing to an equal educational landscape.”
Alison Kempe, Head of Admissions, said, “The Equitability Fund at Somersfield Academy supports bursaries, scholarships, overseas excursions, and co-curricular activities to give a well-rounded educational experience to all students who can demonstrate the Mission, Vision, and Values of Somersfield.”
The spokesperson said, “These funds enable students from diverse backgrounds to access educational opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach. They support overseas excursions which enhance students’ academic knowledge but also promote cultural understanding and global citizenship. The fund facilitates participation in paid co-curricular activities such as sports, arts, and community service programs. These activities play a vital role in students’ holistic development, fostering teamwork, creativity, and leadership skills.
“Sponsorship opportunities range from Star Sponsorship, Executive Sponsorship, Golf Cart Sponsorship, Boxed Lunch Sponsorship, Longest Drive Prize Sponsorship, to Hole and Family Hole Sponsorship.
“Teams can register online for $800 per team or read about sponsorship opportunities at ptix.bm. In addition to participating in a day of sportsmanship, participants will contribute to a cause.
