Guess this PR campaign thinks it’s better that everyone thinks they have a voice and then ignore it and do what they want rather than just do what they want and save time.
What happened to “I am proud to fulfill our promise to the people of Bermuda to preserve Southlands and take another step towards formally making that land a national park”? That was said by our Premier in September 2010.
Now we are giving up over 10,000 square feet of national park to support a commercial venture? Why? And how many more of our parks will this government sacrifice to commercial ventures?
So much for “preserve Southlands”.
LEAVE SOUTHLANDS ALONE. it’s beautiful green space – market it that way! We don;t need another space that generates loud music traffic and trash.
