DeSilva-Andrade Reflects On Montreal Cup
Yushae DeSilva-Andrade said she was thrilled to be back in action after completing her first competition of the year at the Montreal Boccia World Cup.
The Bermudian defeated Aurelie Aubert, of France, in 5-2 on Tuesday [April 30] before losing 8-2 to Japan’s Yuriko Fujii yesterday.
DeSilva-Andrade, who hopes to reach the Paralympic Games in Paris this summer, wrote on Facebook yesterday: “Unfortunately, I lost my game today 8-2 against Japan, which means that with the points difference with today’s game, I have been knocked out of the competition.
“It feels great to be back competing at this level and now to take this experience and ready myself for my next overseas competition in July.”
You are still a winner in my eyes and look forward to watching you win more medals. You will do awesome at the Para Olympics
