Bermuda swimmer Emma Harvey has hit the qualifying standard in the 100 metres backstroke for the Olympic Games in Paris this summer.
Harvey won the B final at the City of Barcelona International Trophy meet today [May 30] in 1min 1.21sec.
She will now be considered for selection by the Bermuda Olympic Association under the universality policy, which aims to increase the diversity of participating nations.
The qualification period for swimming closes on June 23.
Harvey’s brother, Jack, is in a similar position, having met the standard in the 100 backstroke at the AP Race London International.
