Beach Volleyball Teams To Compete In Nicaragua
Bermuda’s beach volleyball teams will be participating at the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour in Nicaragua this weekend.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Volleyball Association [BVA] is proud to announce its participation in the fifth leg of the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour in Managua, Nicaragua this coming weekend, June 14-16, 2024. The NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour is the signature beach volleyball event for the North American, Central American and Caribbean Zone.
“Both the Bermuda Men’s and Women’s Beach Volleyball teams will be participating at the event. The Men’s team will consist of the pairing of Braedon Madeiros-Cooke & Connor Somerville while the Women’s pairing will feature Megan Hands & Kayley Hamilton.
“The tournament will feature 30 teams from across North America, Central America, and the Caribbean, including Canada, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guatemala & USA.
BVA Co-President, Brandon Sousa said, “We are incredibly excited to be a part of the 2024 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour and specifically to be participating in this fifth stop in Nicaragua. I know our teams have shown their commitment in training and throughout their preparations. They are prepared to demonstrate their skill, competitive spirit, and determination to earn valuable tour points for themselves and Bermuda.

We are thrilled to continue building on the strong foundation we have established and are looking forward to significant progress and more international exposure this year.
