“Each year, KPMG in Bermuda selects a registered charity for their MaDD and the entire staff dedicate their day to giving back wherever the charity needs our support. At WindReach, the staff had a wide range of assignments, from creating multiple new access pathways for the charity’s clients, to landscaping overgrown trails, to clearing, organizing, and replenishing their workshop with $3,000 worth of new tools and equipment, which was part of the KPMG in Bermuda donation.
“A huge thank you also goes to Horsefield Landscape and Design Ltd., who partnered with KPMG for the second year in a row to assist with the landscaping efforts.
“WindReach is a fully accessible four acre facility in Warwick that includes a multi-purpose activity center, an animal zone, a therapeutic riding center, an accessible playground, and more. Each week an average of 200 participants visit WindReach to enjoy its diverse therapeutic and educational programs, which cater to individuals with a wide range of physical and intellectual abilities.”
James Berry, Chief Executive Officer at KPMG, said, “This year’s MaDD has been particularly meaningful for our firm. We’re committed to making a positive impact in our community by supporting individuals with diverse support needs.”
Steve Woodward, Chair of the Corporate Citizenship Committee at KPMG, said, “The dedicated team at WindReach graciously welcomed us into their space and shared their invaluable expertise on creating inclusive opportunities and resources for those with whom they work.”
A WindReach spokesperson said, “The commitment and dedication that KPMG has shown to our facility through volunteerism and financial contributions is phenomenal and we are beyond grateful!
