Classic BMW Z3 Roadster To Be Auctioned
Motoring organization Bermuda Charge will be auctioning BMW Z3 Roadster at the Scooter Mart Motor Fest on Front Street, Sunday June 30.
A spokesperson said, “Motoring organisation Bermuda Charge is excited to announce the auction of a stunning BMW Z3 Roadster at its highly anticipated annual show, Scooter Mart Motor Fest, which takes place on Front Street on Sunday 30 June.
“Renowned for its sleek design and dynamic performance, the BMW Z3 is a true contemporary classic, with this vehicle having turned 25 years old in January. This specific model is in impeccable condition and features a captivating colour combination of silver metallic paint and a red leather interior, making it a showstopper wherever it goes. Incredibly, it has only 26,000 miles on the clock.
“Moreover, this Z3 is a perfect fit for Bermuda residents, as it qualifies for use as a classic car. This unique status allows the winning bidder to enjoy their new acquisition as a second car on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, meaning this modern classic can be driven on Bermuda’s roads for 114 days each year.

“Registered in 1999, the classy convertible offers many modern conveniences not usually associated with a classic, such as a power roof, power seats, one-touch power windows and remote locking. There is also the added convenience of having a local dealer, Bermuda Motors, on hand for certified servicing and maintenance.
“We are delighted to unveil this extraordinary BMW Z3 at Scooter Mart Motor Fest, presented by Bermuda Charge” announced event director David Cahill.. “The Z3′s fusion of timeless style, cinematic legacy, and Bermudian practicality is certain to spark interest. To our knowledge, this is the first time a classic car has been auctioned live in Bermuda.”
“The concept of the BMW Z3 was first introduced to the world in the James Bond movie Goldeneye and immediately sold out upon its release, This meticulously maintained specimen offers the discerning collector a unique opportunity to acquire a piece of automotive and cinematic history. The Scooter Mart Motor Fest poster, and the auction itself, both feature a James Bond theme.
Mr Cahill said: “This beautiful Z3 Roadster was sourced by automotive expert Matt Goodwin of High Peak Autos, who has nearly 400,000 YouTube followers. Matt made a video when he collected the car, and will be flying here to enjoy the auction and witness Bermuda’s unique bike culture at Scooter Mart Motor Fest, presented by Bermuda Charge.”
“The Z3 itself arrived in Bermuda from the UK last week, and I’ve been lucky enough to road test her. She handles as a sports car, perfectly balanced – you feel very connected to the road and the handling is agile and precise. It’s a pleasure to drive, this car represents a lot of fun at the weekends, and will create some great memories for the new owner.”
“The auction will occur on Sunday 30 June at Scooter Mart Motor Fest on Front Street. The auctioneer is Karen Plianthos, of Bermuda Wine Concierge. The opening bid is set at $28,000, Pre-inspection of the car is available on request. Interested bidders can find more information and register at www.bermudacharge.com/z3.
