Video: Sunday June 16th “Good News” Spotlight
News that Jessica Lewis broke a record in the T53 100m, shattering the old record that has stood since 1997, SCARS held the ninth annual Kayak for Kids event, BFRS held a community engagement initiative aimed at educating and interacting with senior residents, and the Touch-A-Truck fundraiser event was held were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Leilanni Nesbeth and her Chicago Red Stars teammates celebrated setting a new NWSL attendance record with 35,038 fans, Gabriella Arnold won the McElroy River Parks Criterium, Chare Smith helped Uphill Castle win by three wickets, and Maxwell Curtis and his crew Wesley Tucker won the Ace Installers Regatta.
Other good news stories included Bermuda Hospitals Board achieving accreditation in its 14th onsite survey by Accreditation Canada, ASU BIOS announced new scholarships, Brandon Adkins won silver at the NAC Sizzler, and Cameron Jeffers claims three wickets in a Marshfield win.
