World Triathlon Names Qualification Slots
World Triathlon has released the Olympic qualification slots for Paris, with Bermuda securing two women’s spots for Dame Flora Duffy and Erica Hawley and one men’s place for Tyler Smith.
Duffy will defend the title she won at the rescheduled Tokyo Games in 2021 after returning to action last month following an 18-month lay-off due to injury.
Meanwhile, Hawley sealed her spot as the final athlete to qualify on Olympic rankings after a series of impressive displays this year.
Smith won his spot at Paris through one of two universality places handed out by the Tripartite Commission on offer designed to support smaller, emerging triathlon nations.
