The students’ dedication to their studies and passion for law are inspiring. Their potential to positively impact the legal profession aligns perfectly with the firm’s mission and values. We look forward to seeing their contributions to the legal profession.”

The spokesperson said, “Conyers is committed to nurturing and investing in the education of future legal professionals in Bermuda. The Legal Education Awards has exemplified the firm’s commitment to fostering legal talent within the community by donating more than $2 million to aspiring lawyers in Bermuda. All recipients demonstrate the values and dedication to legal education that the Conyers holds dear.

“Beyond the Legal Education Awards, Conyers actively promotes professional development through various student programmes in Bermuda. These comprehensive offerings include the Summer Law and Pupillage programmes, where students receive mentorship from our lawyers, engage with real client projects, and immerse themselves in the daily operations of the firm.

“The Gap Year Programme provides an opportunity for students in a gap year between high school and university or those currently enrolled in an undergraduate program to gain practical experience across various firm departments, such as compliance, finance, trust or corporate services. Additionally, the Smart Start programme was introduced last year and provides a blend of work experience and mentoring to high school students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue a legal career.

“The firm also hosts regular networking and open house events, allowing students to explore the legal profession and potential career paths in law.”
